About
Margot is a self-taught French mural artist born in Grasse in 1990.
From a young age, she worked in equestrian tourism and in 2015 moved to Mexico, where she became a naturalist guide. Having developed a sensitivity to the fragility of nature and facing increasing pressure on the environment in Tulum, where she lives, she felt the need to express this artistically in urban spaces.
Since then, she has rapidly developed her technique and gained experience in creating murals in different countries, from Mexico to France, Central America, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Morocco. She participates in festivals and artistic residencies, always sharing her humanistic and naturalistic vision.
Her work is characterized by her constant desire to integrate her pieces into the landscape and adapt to the different surfaces on which she paints. Beyond the purely decorative level, she likes to propose multiple readings of her works that allow for diverse reflections and interpretations through art.
What motivates her is to artistically accompany communities in what they want to highlight: their history, their culture, their identity, their challenges… Working hand in hand with the inhabitants, local naturalists, or enthusiasts of the topics covered.
She mainly uses rollers and brushes.
